What Orion does, in the order it happens.
- 1
Import
We buy Zurik and Zorba from overseas yards, processors and exporters.
- 2
Sort
Our team separates each lot into stainless steel, aluminium, copper, brass and zinc.
- 3
Supply
We sell the sorted metals to ingot manufacturers, who put them back into production.

Whether you buy for a large primary producer or a secondary ingot unit, tell us the metal and grade, the composition limits your melt accepts, the quantity, delivery location and timing.

Our people
Keeping metals in use. Creating work in India.
We employ 40–50 women on our sorting lines each day. They separate mixed scrap piece by piece into metals that manufacturers can use again.
We believe employment is one of the best ways to fight poverty, and creating it is part of why Orion exists.
Up to 95%less energy is needed to make aluminium from scrap than from ore. Industry figure from the International Aluminium Institute, not an Orion measurement.
